I. Mosaic Law
A. What is it?
1. The ancient law of the Hebrews contained in the Pentateuch and traditionally believed to have been revealed by God to Moses.
2. It was made up of three parts: the Ten Commandments, the ordinances, and the worship system, which included the priesthood, the tabernacle, the offerings, and the festivals.

F. Provide God’s direction for the physical and spiritual health of the nation.
G. Cause people, after Christ came, to see that they couldn’t keep the Law but instead needed to accept Christ as personal Savior, for He had fulfilled the Law in His life and paid the penalty for our breaking it in His death, burial, and bodily resurrection.
We now know what the Mosaic Law is, why modern-day Christians are not bound to the Law, and why the Mosaic Law was instituted for the nation of Israel. Let us now discover what we as Christians can learn from the Mosaic Law. Although we are no longer under the Law, there is much we can glean from this vital part of the Word of God.
III. What we can learn from the Mosaic Law.
A. It reveals God’s holiness.
-The law of the LORD is perfect because it is given by a perfect God. The Ten Commendments Moses received were “inscribed by the finger of God” (Exodus 31:18; Deuteronomy 9:10). The Law clearly reveals God’s standard for His people living in a fallen world. “The law is holy, and the commandment is holy, righteous and good” (Romans 7:12; cf. Nehemiah
