Mosab Hassan Yousef, a Palestinian whose dad is a major leader in a major terrorist organization called Hamas. Whose main goal is to end Zionist rule over the Palestinian territory and help make Palestine an independent state. Mosab grew up angry and ready to fight Israel for what they have done to his country. At the age of 17, Mosab decided to take things into his own hands and fight Israel. He was arrested by Israel for smuggling guns and got interrogated by the Shin Bet, Israel's security service. Thereafter, he was sent to prison and there he saw Hamas's ruthless tactics inside the prison were they tortured anyone who they believed was trying to spy for Israel. He also saw the organization's escalating campaign of suicide bombings outside …show more content…
Mosab worked for Shin Bet for 10 years from 1997 till 2007. He was considered the most valuable resource to the Shin Bet because of the information that he provided, which prevented dozens of suicide attack, assassinations of Israelis and he exposed several Hamas cells. Although he betrayed what he grew up to believe in he always looked out for his family. Mosab had his father arrested in order to save him from an assassination attempt. Another primary actor in this case is Mosab’s handler in the Shin Bet, Gonen. Gonen risked his career when he broke protocol in order to gain Mosabs trust. Gonen believes today that the first day of the end of his career was the day that Mosab was assigned to him. On countless occasions Gonen broke protocol, which may have lead him to also be prosecuted and fired. The secondary actors would consist of the opposing states of Israel and Palestine, in addition to their fighting and intelligence bodies, Shin Bet and Hamas. Wars and conflicts between those two sides also attracted the attention of surrounding Arab nations and the United Sates, which also makes them other influences over this …show more content…
Both nations fight for the same reason, which is having an individual state. In this state of crisis the most people that are being affected are the innocent civilians, mostly the Palestinians. Most European nations ant the United States aid Israel. While surrounding Arab nations and Muslim extremists aid Palestine. The relationship between the leaders is very tense and confrontational. Improvements are needed by either side in order to accomplish peace. In the documentary Mosab’s father leaned towards a nonviolent solution, but when Mosab took this to the Shin Bet he was told to do his job of acting like a terrorist who wants nothing but destruction to Israel. Here is when Mosab didn’t know where stands because who saw that no one is looking for a real resolution. All they wanted to do is to keep the violence going. Especially since the channels of communication is very limited. The only way the two conflicting sides ever communicate is when the international community brings them together, which in essence is very rare.
The history of their relationship shows that there hasn’t been peace between those two states sine 1948. There have been attempts to mend the relationships between the two like in the Camp David Summit and the Oslo Accord but there was no true success yet. In order to resolve a conflict both sides should reach complete cognitive, emotional and behavioral resolution. Doing this wont be easy especially

Since the mid-twentieth century, Jews have been migrating to the land of Israel, known by the Arabs as Palestine, to escape the discrimination and persecution they had been facing in Europe for centuries. The Zionist movement began to grow as a result of the Holocaust, as the Jews believe they have a right to their own Jewish state where their holy sites are. However, the Arabs have been living in Palestine for generations, and they are unwilling to accept the formation of a Jewish state because of the Palestinian cultural and ancestral ties that exist in that land. Because both the Palestinians and Jews are obdurate and will not forswear the land they both feel they have a right to, the Arab-Israeli conflict is an incredibly complicated issue.…
