. A Morgan State University organization I belong to is the junior class section of the student government association. a. This organization exists to create a united junior class and unify the student body with the administration by advocating for things that could make campus/college better for them. b. The student government association encourages student to take responsibility and initiate by collaborating to build and maintain a cohesive attitude towards the university. This means having school pride and being active participants in school activities. This relates to the university’s goal of build leaders that will dominate urban communities. Students will be active in their school community while still obtain their degrees. C. The …show more content…
If someone has a new idea there is not much difficulty for them to present and execute the idea. If the idea is given prior to budgets being approved it is easier. The person would make a proposal, present it to the class executive board, then the president would approve it or not. If approved the necessary budget would be put into the budget proposal where SGA vice president and senator would either approve the asked for amount, lower the amount, or decline the amount all together. The person would follow the same steps if it was after budget request. However they would have to come up with the funds themselves as a board.
f. After every initiative the executive board discusses what happened, how it could have better, and give props where it should be given at the following meeting. The board discusses the pros and cons, and what was learned so that we can prevent any mishaps, if any, for the next meeting.
g. I would say that organization is actively committed to learning. The organization always seeks something different or an innovation approach to different topics. The organization is open to change because as society change so does the interest of the student body and what is relevant. Two ways the organization can commit to being a learning organization is by: 1. Encourage acknowledgement of when a system or program put into place is not providing the desired outcome. 2. Encourage qualified participants who are not their friends to fulfill leadership positions that will questions traditions that no longer work and can be
