Morgan Freeman's Talk About Racism

When people hear this quote from Freeman they think that what he is saying is just another stupid comment. When he said, “Stop talking about it. I'm going to stop calling you a white man, and I'm going to ask you to stop calling me a black man. I know you as Mike Wallace. You know me as Morgan Freeman.” When I heard these words come out of his mouth I thought maybe he’s right but the more I thought about it I started to believe that it was wrong because people would always have their own beliefs and views, they would get it from others around them, and they would form their own opinion.
Morgan Freeman believes that if people stop talking about racism it will disappear. In reality even if people did stop talking about it many people, that are racists, would still talk about how they don’t like a race just because of their skin color. If Freeman wanted people to stop talking about it I don’t think it will happen because just those people that don’t think the same way as him. Some people that watched that probably just looked at the color of his skin and thought,”No, I will talk about racism if I want to.” or “ No, he doesn’t know what he’s talking about. I won’t listen because he wants us to follow him.” There isn’t a way to stop racism if I’m honest. People will form their own opinions and that is that. There is no but for them. They think what they think and there will be no changing that for them.
In conclusion racism can’t be stopped. As Freeman said treat it like history. Racism is one of the main things from history. It will be talked about for years to come. There is no trying to make people think otherwise. People could try but there will always be that person or group that won’t listen because they don’t like a that race that you are. Racism could not be talked about but it will still raise
