More Than A Carpenter Summary

The first chapter in the book More Than a Carpenter talks about how the author, Josh McDowell, came to be a Christian. He talks about how when he was younger, he was also searching for answers to three main questions: Who am I? Why am I here? Where am I going? He looked for the answers to this questions in many different ways. He tried constantly going to church, but the church he was going to didn't find him the answers he was looking for. He tried to become educated, but this didn't work either. He tried to become a leader in various organizations, but this too didn't give him answers. Then one day, he became friends with a group of Christians. He was intrigued by how they seemed to live differently from the other people at his university. People try to find answers to their problems in many ways, but the only thing that provides constant help is God. In my life, the one thing that helps me to get through the problems that I face is praying to God for help. He is always there and He will always answer my prayers.
