Mordred is a character in the Arthurian legend, he was King Arthur’s nephew, the son of Arthur’s sister Anna, and was born through accidental incest. King Arthur slept with his half sister Morgause and from that Mordred was born. Merlin, the wizard, predicts that Mordred will later ruin Arthur and his power and suggest that he put him out to sea. King Arthur, in an effort to kill Mordred, shipped him off on a boat that later crashed leaving Mordred alive. He was then found by a fisherman and given to the Duke of Nabur to be fostered. Mordred was a truly evil human being in that he would rape women, have affairs, beat the men of the women he slept with, murder people, and would make fun of other knights.
