Morally Ambiguous Characters In The Kite Runner

A morally ambiguous character is a character who is not really sure what their morals are yet. In the novel The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini Amir and Baba are part of this upper class called the Pashtun, they are lucky enough to get an education. Hassan and Ali are in the lower class called the Hazara and they are servants to Amir and Baba. Amir and Hassan are best friends even if they cannot admit it because of their classes. Hosseini’s purpose for making morally ambiguous characters is to make to reader want to continue reading the book and enjoy the it. Amir is a morally ambiguous character because he lacks bravery, but he also tried to adopt Sohrab his orphaned nephew. Amir is a morally ambiguous character because he lacks bravery.
