Morality is defined as “a lesson, especially one concerning what is right or prudent, that can be derived from a story, a piece of information, or an experience.” An important aspect of adolescence growth is learning what morals are necessary for day-to-day life. Although this seems rather rudimentary, where a child learns these morals, is a topic of high debate. When we think about lessons on morality, we don’t often wonder who, what, where, or how we learned to act or think in such a manner. Children are bombarded everyday with lessons on morality, whether it be from home, their favorite tv show, with their peers, or school. Essentially, we believe that learning morals early on in school is a way to guarantee the highest degree of success in using these morals throughout their lives.
Children are very impressionable at a young age and it is important to instill good morals and values in them. They’re brains are already open and taking in new information that they are learning in class which makes them more susceptible to learning and remembering the morals taught to them. Being in school and being taught these morals will eventually get edged into the children’s brains and almost become second nature. Having friends at school that are also

Teachers are trained to communicate with students in a way a parent might not be able to. Children spend most of their time at school and the morals that are taught to them are bound to stick with them. In some situations parents may not be fit to teach their children basic life morals or they may simply be to busy working various jobs. Children are also given the freedom to interact with their peers and learn from each other. Many different cultures are submerged into one place where children can thrive off each other and share ideas, views, and morals with each other.
