A person’s morality is like a child’s playdough; it can be shaped into whatever a person wants it to be. This is true in A Simple Plan because when Jacob and his friends find the money, it is a big influence on how they make their decisions in their lives. Jacob a very kind and helpfull person to his companions, all he wants is for everyone to be happy and for himself to have his farm again. He doesn't see the meaning of living with all the corruptness in his life. Thus, Raimi develops the idea that a simple person may commit evil acts in the pursuit of happiness, and when the evil gets out of control they can’t stop, because there is nothing left to live for.
