In the movie The Diary Of Anne Frank you meet different characters with different traits. For example, Peter Van Daan was introduced in the movie. At first he is quiet and shy. When Anne and Peter first met, Peter was hesitant to talk to anyone which led to his mother having to introduce him. Another character that is introduce in the film was Mr. Kraler. Mr. Kraler is the “protector ” of the group. He is also a leader and he would do anything to protect everyone living in the annex. For example, Mr. Kraler volunteered to stay outside of the annex to keep a lookout for the Nazis. Margot is another character who is introduced in the story. She is the sister of Anne and her character traits consist of being kind, quiet, and friendly. In the

Anne is facing a conflict with her mother which upset her. Anne did this by raising her voice at her mother when Anne told her that she hates it when her mom says that Anne had to be more like her sister, Margot, when she just wants to be herself and have her mother except her for who she is and how she is different. She also upset her mother by saying that she would rather have her father with her rather than her. Anne's mother tried to comfort her after her nightmare and her mother tried to give her a kiss but Ann turned away and asked for her father. In the film, Anne gave Peter a razor for Hanukkah. This shows that Anne changed throughout the movie because at first she didn't like Peter and thought that he was stuck up and annoying but now she tolerates him and gets along with him really well and they started to fall in love with each other. We know this because in the beginning of the movie they couldn't stand each other and would always fight but now they get along like really well.
In The Diary of Anne Frank the theme is stated in the following manner: just because times are tough doesn't mean that you have to keep your head down and not look on the brightside. This is the theme to The Diary of Anne Frank because even though Anne and the people she is living with are battling with themselves and society, they keep their heads up high and think positive outcomes of the
