Cowboy Courage A good horse, a simple life, and the open plains. This is often what a person thinks of when they think of cowboys. However, what the often don’t think of is a cowboys strong set of morals. There are 10 of these morals which are also known as the cowboy ethics. These are simple rules by which cowboys live by, which are what sets them apart from any other walk of life. It is difficult for a person to live by all of these ethics, but any person can live by a few of them. Out of all of these morals, the one that I gravitate towards the strongest is to live each day with courage. I live by this moral for several reasons. The first of which is it allows for you to overcome life barriers that you may have once feared crossing. Furthermore it makes you a person people like to be around. Lastly it can have a great impact of personal views of yourself. Living with courage is a great ethic in life as it helps overcome life challenges, makes you a better person to be around, and can improve your opinion of yourself. …show more content…
Many people live through life and come upon something new, or difficult, or simply something they are afraid to do. I used to live in this way, and just avoided these challenges, opting for an easier, less rewarding route in life. I always felt like I was living less than my best life and settling for the average. It always felt like I was living a harder life than if I could live with courage. There was no sudden shift in my life, but a gradual change towards being more courageous. I could never go back to a life where I lived in fear anymore. I live and face my challenges as they come. I used to live with fear of things like new learning experiences, or things I have never done before. Now I see new experiences and challenges as a chance to learn and better myself. Living with courage definitely has helped me overcome challenges life throws at
