Someone who is catatonic will seem to be in a state of panic. The total state of panic brings about a condition in which odd positions may be held for hours or even days. This is known as a stuporous condition. These periods of times when the person is in panic and become rigidity is like pretending to be frozen. During this frozen state the person becomes mute and decreases in their responsiveness. It is a very rare type of schizophrenia.
It is hard to diagnose Schizophrenia and categorize it. Some people has characteristics of more than one type. A person must have the symptoms for at least six months to be diagnosed(sardaa.org, 2017). When a patient has different mental patterns at different times that cannot be categorized by paranoid, catatonic, or disorganized; they are classified as suffering from Undifferentiated Schizophrenia.
There is no main cause for Schizophrenia, but there are factors that can contribute to someone developing Schizophrenia. The factors are environment, heredity, and drug
