Moose's Tooth Brewery opened over twenty years ago. The owners initially intended to secure a place in Alaska through what they perceived as a gap in Alaska’s marketplace. Their goal was to secure a place in Alaska as a brewery and a pub. Eventually, the organization split into multiple interrelated entities named Broken Tooth Brewery, Moose’s Tooth, and Bear Tooth Grill. The introduction of new policies in title 4 for alcoholic beverages limited Broken Tooth’s growth in the early stages of its development, according to owner, Rod Hancock. The strategies that it utilized, and still continues to implement today (with several adjustments) is an integrated cost leadership strategy and differentiation strategy.
