Moore: Blasphemy On Religion

Decent Essays
Moore said that the religious leaders can no longer deny Jesus for doing wrong.
I believe they had two choices like Moore explained, one is to serve Christ and the second is to turn away from Christ.
Moore does a great job explaining that Blasphemy against the carnal can be forgiven, but when they blasphemy against the Holy Ghost.
The Pharisees accuse Jesus of being satanic because of all the great thing that he has done.
Moore is right on the money because Jesus power is being used against Satan's kingdom.

When Chris Carrier was ten years old, he was taken into a swamp near his home in Florida and was stabbed repeatedly with an ice pick, and then shot through his temple with a handgun. Miraculously, hours later he woke up with a terrible headache, unable to see out of one of his eyes. He was then picked up and taken to the hospital. Years later, Chris’ abuser laid on his deathbed and Chris, surprisingly, went to comfort and forgive him. Everett L. Worthington, Jr. wrote in article on Chris Carrier, “Unforgiveness, by contrast, seems to be a negative emotional state where an offended person maintains feelings of resentment, hostility, anger, and hatred toward the person who offended him.…

Reform movements including religion, temperance, abolition, and women's rights tried to expand democratic ideals in the years 1825 to 1850. However, certain movements such as trying to make America a utopia, failed to show the American ideals of a democratic society. The reform movements were spurred by the Second Great Awakening, which began in New England in the late 1790's, and would eventually spread throughout the country. The Second Great Awakening differed from the First in that people were now believed to be able to choose whether or not to believe in God.…

The Book of John is foundational to the Christian faith. As a foremost document declaring the deity of Jesus, the text decisively establishes that He is God. Contained in the book, there are clear declarations by Jesus where He uses the name of God for Himself. By using the Old Testament name of God, “I AM,” Jesus is speaking in a style that presents Himself as deity. One place where this testimony is undisputable is in the description of the Good Shepherd.…

Acts 5:3 “But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land?” The Holy Spirit must have revealed to Peter that Ananias was lying, therefore he asked him why he lied. I have heard it said that Ananias would not have been asked this question if he was a lost sinner, as Peter would have known that it is the way of the ungodly to not tell the truth. I find it at least reasonable to believe he was saved but Satan filled his heart to lie.…

In a nation that pledges allegiance to itself under god, religion is bound to become a factor in the politics that govern it. Religion did not start to be integrated into public affairs until the mid 1980s. It was at this time that abortion and other personal issues began to emerge into the political spectrum. By incorporating aspects of the moral being into government decisions, coalitions were formed to unite for certain issues. Due to the increased combination of religion and partisanship, the ideologies of religious politics and political religion became more prominent, as can be seen in the case of abortion described in American Grace: How Religion Divides and Unites Us.…

The Salem Witch Trials occurred in Massachusetts during the year of 1692. The Witch trials began due to Puritan people accusing people in society a witch. Although the Salem Witch Trials are a part of our nation’s history; people also study about the witch trials in American literature through the eyes of Cotton Mather, a Puritan minister (Cain 225). Nathaniel Hawthorne is another very popular author studied in American Literature that also reflects on the Salem witch trials, but in a very different light than that of Cotton Mather. The Salem Witch Trials, the writings of Cotton Mather, and some of the writings from Nathaniel Hawthorne play a crucial role in America’s history.…

Many humans overthink things or seek logic when it comes to understanding something. Although the Bible can be backed up by science and history in most situations, there is still an aspect of faith that comes into play. I try to keep my beliefs simple and well known to the public in the hope that someone might ask me why I live differently than others. Humans desire fellowship and love just like God does, so the story of Jesus is the easiest thing to mention to anyone who asks about Christianity. I certainly have many faults and battle with sin, but God is on my conscience every day and I try to listen to that and follow it as best as I can.…

The Bible tells us that Demons are fallen angels that followed after Satan when he decided to think he was higher than God. These angels could've stayed in heaven, but they didn't want to release the evil intentions they had. Demons are one third of the angles that left when Satan was kicked of of heaven. Like when God sends his angels to protect us, Satan will send out his demons to take out Christians and he will do his best to come against God and his people. Demons are like the great angles in heaven, they can take on the physical form because they are a spirit.…

He used the persuasive tools pathos, ethos, and logos. Moore uses these tools, but doesn’t use them very well. His logos more times than not, was not directly linked to his main point. His ethos in the quotes he used was also not always directly linked. Last, most of the time his pathos sounded like he was trying to insult people more than persuade them.…

I chose to write about Matthew and John because they are the first and last of the Gospels. I am also the most interested in these two books since one is a synoptic Gospel and the other is not. Matthew and John are both Gospels. However, Matthew is a synoptic gospel and John is not. John is different than all the other Gospels and is not considered a synoptic Gospel because it does not contain the birth of Jesus.…
