In China, there was a boy named Moon Shadow. Moon Shadow has never seen his dad before because, when he was born his father was in the land of the golden mountain. One day one of the family's cousins came to bring a letter from Moon Shadows dad, saying that he wants Moon Shadow to come back with Hand Clap to the land of the Golden Mountain( San Francisco). When he gets to San Francisco Moon Shadow, his father Windrider, his uncle's, Hand Clap, And Bright Star start a company. The company is a group of people that mine in the California streams for gold. They make a trip to a mountain to get gold with Hand Clap as their guide. They also meet their cousin Lefty. They aren’t allowed to talk to the people of the middle kingdom. Also, the demons …show more content…
On their journey, they got to a house which there they meet Mrs. Whitlaw. Mrs. Whitlaw is going to be Moon Shadows tutor. They practice syllables and words so he can read. They practice everything that he might need to know. Mrs. Whitlaw is a white demon. Demon boys in their neighborhood are mean to Moon Shadow. Especially, the boy named Jack. Jack throws thing at him, and Moon Shadow becomes afraid. Windrider came back from his trip to the tang town with a black eye. Windrider got in a fight with some of the tang men. Moon Shadow and Robin, Mrs. Whitlaw’s niece go and fly gliders together. The glider was getting out of control and going higher, and higher. A demon kid tries to take it so Moon Shadow punches him. An earthquake hits San Francisco where they all live. They were scared and could hear falling of buildings, and screaming. They saw running running, breaking of walls, and fire everywhere. They start running to Mrs. Whitlaws house. The whole family was in the corner afraid to go outside. They start to run and end up surviving. On their way home in the middle of nowhere some demon soldiers saw them. RUN, RUN, they get away but, the soldiers won’t stop. Everyone gets guns and
