Also in the story tell tale heart the narrator stalks an old man for a couple of days and decides to kill him because of his eye. so the cask of amontillado and the tell tale heart have similar moods. the mood is set as a creepy dark setting in these stories. ‘at the most remote end of the crypt there appeared a less spacious area, its walls have been lined with human remains, piled to the vault overhead.’
