Montresor's Insanity

In Edgar Allan Poe’s “The Cask of Amontillado.” Montresor, the narrator is insane. He has sought revenge on Fortunato just for insulting him and he has set out to do this in a very sneaky manner. He is insane because he gets Fortunato drunk and then meticulously leads him through the vaults.
