It wouldn't matter anyways, I am chained. There is no escaping. I suddenly hear the padding of footsteps as Montresor is walking away. It hits me that this is my death bed. I use all the energy I have left inside of me. All of my strength. I screech and scream as loud as ever desperately praying that someone will hear me. Just enough to get me out of here. I scream and scream until my voice is too harsh and my throat is too sore to whisper. I can feel the chains cutting into my skin and the air whisping out of my mouth, leaving my body. The world starts to spin. Blood is trickling down my arm and throat and my thoughts are fuzzy and I can’t think straight. I can only see one thing… heaven, and only hear one thing...
