On 01/16/17 at approximately 1800 hours I was dispatched to 31520 CR. S in the County of Montezuma, and State of Colorado for reports of a possible Burglary.

I arrived and spoke with the reporting party, Mikaila Gray. She reported she was last at the residence on 01/14/17. When she returned on 01/16/17 the house had been broken into, and items stolen from the residence. Mikaila reported a horse trailer, a couch, wood stove, wood trunk, microwave, bed frame, a mirror, an air conditioner, boxes of framing tools, antique china dolls, and snow globes had all been stolen from the residence.

Mikaila reported the horse trailer was parked in front of the residence. I was unable to locate tire tracks in the snow, where the trailer was reported to have been parked. Mikaila reported the front door was locked when she had left the residence on 01/14/17 and was open when she returned on 01/16/17. I was unable to locate any fresh signs of forced entry.

Upon entering the residence I observed trash, and other things on the floor and on counters. The house did not appear to have been kept up with in some time. Mikaila reported

In the bedroom a mattress was standing on edge leaning against the wall. Trash was lying all around the room. Two pill bottles were on a small wood table. Mikaila stated one of them was hers and the other was for her dog.

In the living room was a dining table with several items on it. I located several items with the name Derek Dean Clark on them. Timothy Gray and Mikaila stated a homeless man had left his wallet hen they had tried to help him. Mikaila stated she had attempted to send the wallet and items to the address on the state I.D. but was returned to her several times. I collected the items from the residence and secured them as found property.
I asked Mikaila to notify me when she finds the title for the horse trailer. I notified Mikaila to contact us if anything else turns up
