Fahrenheit 451 written by Ray Bradbury is a story taking place in a futuristic American city. In this city there is a fireman named Guy Montag and his job, along with other firemen is to actually set fire to any books that are found. Montag loved his job until he met a seventeen year old girl that made him amend what he had been doing for many years. At the very beginning of the story Montag enjoys his job immensely. He is a third generation fireman and he never misses work. He doesn’t just love his job, he thoroughly enjoys it. He was proud to have his uniform on because he knows he is helping people, but on the way home one night he feels anticipation in the air as if someone was there just seconds before rounding the corner.
