Sarah looked up at the doctors as they watched her. Her fingers slipped into the hospital gown as she watched them. They were whispering to each other. Her parents stood with their backs to her as they talked to a female doctor. Sarah rubbed the soft fabric between her fingers, trying to relax. She wished she knew what they were telling her parents, it didn’t look encouraging.

“Sarah…” His voice whispered in her head. Goosebumps ran up her arms as she smiled. Sarah could feel him behind her, his chill filling the room. Dark spots filtered across her vision. She looked up at her parents as they almost disappeared from her sight.

“Xar.” She stammered . Her skin crawled at the silence of the room.

“Hush child.” The voice muttered. “It will be alright.” The demon stated. Sarah pulled the blanket more around herself. Her nails piercing the fabric in her hands, her breath caught in her chest. Her eyes blurred for a few seconds as a hiss swirled in her head.

“Sarah?” A male doctor asked snapping the girl from her thoughts. With worn skin and cold eyes. His head had no hair sprouting from it and his movement was very purposeful. “Can I ask you a few questions about your… um… imaginary friend?” The doctor asked. Sarah

The small marks seemed to almost bleed as they dripped down to the floor. Sarah had to pull her eyes from the wall as she watched the doctor as her head tried to fog. The doctor grabbed the nearby chair. Pulling it towards the bedside making it screech across the floor. A hiss rang through her ears at the sound as she winced from the loud noise. It was never that loud before, why did it ring through her head like a bell. Sarah glanced at the wall as she met with a pair of crimson eyes stared back at her. Her heart raced as the monitor at her side beeped, at the increase of speed. She gazed around the room, realizing that no one had noticed the monster's
