I feel this way because in the South there are many slaves, in which Calhoun felt as if he needed to protect those slaves. Many in the North were now facing the questions in which political power they would side with. Stated in the passage “collects the sense of the majority” stating majority rules, to say the most. With that said not everyone’s going to be happy with the outcome and thats not how to run a well equipped political system. The reasoning behind me stating the liberals to object is that they like a system as to which is has equal opportunities and equality for everyone, also to serve to protect civil liberties and individuals.
These two documents differ in their own was by Annual Message to Congress by President James Monroe it is about the independence within Europe and all the countries need to help each other. Along with “A Disquisition on Government” by John C. Calhoun is voicing his opinion on the use of “majority” to make government decisions. Which he believes they need have more of a political system like the other
