Monozygotic twin chose their partners and friends more according to how they related to their co-twin than dizygotic. The Genetic Similarity Theory proves that we choose to mate and become friends with people so that we ensure our genes will be passed on in the future. Also, variance choice can be impacted by the views of one’s family, the unique environment, and even chance when picking a future partner.
In addition, I found this to be interesting especially when it started to talk about twin studies. I’m a fraternal twin myself so I felt that I could connect with it, and I can see where the similarities and differences come in when choosing a partner in the future. His past partners have all been my friends, which have similar interest to me. Also, when looking for a future partner I always look to those who have similar interest as me, because I feel we would relate more and that would make a relationship last longer, so I guess in the future maybe I could look for more heritable
