When I was a little boy, there was a very beautiful little girl who lived around the corner. The little girl’s name was Alice. Alice was my age, long jet black hair, baby blue eyes, always wore a boys t-shirt and jeans to school. I never payed much attention to her. I mean she was in my grade and in my class, but I never really payed much attention to the grls in my grade, but one day that all changed. One day when I was in lunch, I noticed her and sat down beside her. When I sat down, she ignored me and I couldn’t see her face at all. We sat and talked about how our lives where for hours. As we were talking, I realized that she had been more beautiful than I remembered. Her hair had turned into a chocolate brown color, eyes were still that beautiful baby blue from when we were younger. She told me that a very nice man and woman who had been having a lot of problems with conceiving a baby took her in just a few days after she went into the foster home. A
When we were about to part ways, she looked at me and smiled and said “the day you took me to your house, the day your mom called the cops, that was the best day of my life. It was the start of my new life. Thank you.” After this, we exchanged numbers and went on our ways.
Now, that woman is my wife. We moved into her old house, were we first talked to one another, were she went through the toughest time of her life, and now we are making good memories in the house. When we look back on the day she got taken away from her parents, we realized that you never know what someone goes through at home, and it is always good to ask someone and try to help them. You never know, helping someone with a problem might just save their life and you might even meet you best friend in the situation by helping them! It can’t hurt to help someone in
