I sit her asking myself, how could I let this happen to my little girl. I am her mother, I am supposed to pick her up when she is down, I am supposed to help her through rough times, but most of all I’m supposed to protect her and keep her out of harm’s way! I just can’t believe I didn’t see it, didn’t realise what was going on, I should have locked her in her room until the wedding if I had done that then maybe... maybe she’d still be here, she’d be unhappy but she would be here, alive! I still can’t get over the fact that my little girl is now and angel floating up above. I know she will be looking down on me hopefully with feelings of only love and happiness and not feelings of hate and disappointment I have faith that one day in the future we will meet again and with any luck by then she can forgive me for letting her father force this wedding on her, maybe this was all my fault! …show more content…

Their stupid son fell in love with my daughter and then tricked her into liking him, with the help of that idiot friar Laurance! Now look at the result of what happens when our families mix death and me and my husband are left with an enormous whole in our hearts that will never vanish. So even though Lady Montague says that the death of my daughter and her son was a sign that our two families should end this feud before anymore death occurs, but it’s too late for that I have already lost my daughter and my sweet Tybalt so no I’m not ready to make nice, I’m not ready to back down I’m still mad as hell and can’t bring myself to do what it is they think I should it’s too late to make it

This line said in Juliet's monologue could be interpreted as "Oh, Romeo, Romeo, where is Romeo?" by directly summarizing, but in context in the play, which becomes apparent with analyzing and synthesizing, it's translated to "Oh, Romeo, Romeo, why do you have to be Romeo?" This also evidently proves how the Shakespeare sharpens many skills used by high schoolers on a daily basis, based on how most lines will require them to use and practice these skills when reading the…

Romeo and Juliet is one of the most popular tragedies of all time. The author, Lois Kerschen, analyzed the text more thoroughly in her critical essay on Romeo and Juliet and concluded that they are doomed due to their own character flaws. Kerschen used rhetorical strategies in her argument like the appeal to authority, logos, and transition words. However, she did not include enough information to support her claim. In her argument, Lois began with a very strong hook and then stated her claim.…

In the 16th century tragedy, Romeo and Juliet, Shakespeare uses metaphor and diction, aimed at Tybalt and the 2 families, to reveal Mercutio’s own negative tone/attitude behind his outlook on those whom he had blamed for his death. For example, after Mercutio had been fatally struck from a sword blow by Tybalt in swords dual, Mercutio realizes he is going to die from being stabbed by Tybalt, and says “ I am peppered, I warrant, for this world. A plague o' both your houses! Zounds, a dog, a rat, a mouse, a cat to scratch a man to death! A braggart, a rogue, a villain that fights by the book of arithmetic!”…
