Monologue From A Tale Of Wonders Union

WOW!! I wake up with a very drowsy headache. I am surrounded by cords attached to me and I feel very frightened. The first thing I want to do is meet my lovely pal Gene when I open my eyes. When I look down and see my leg suspended, I feel like crying because I couldn’t move one of my legs at all. I was very glad when Gene finally came into the room and asked what happened. I just told him “I just fell.” Although I kinda remember seeing your face shocked, I told him. After that, I had a feeling where Gene kinda wanted me fall and he was the reason that I fell off the tree. I apologize to Gene afterwards for thinking something bad about him. I was very pleased to talk to him after my accident but Dr. Stanpole came in and told Gene to leave.

In the novel, Brinker was the first person to find out that Gene pushed Phineas off of the tree, but Gene did not tell him that he pushed him off. Once again, Gene lies to others, and he becomes a less reliable narrator. In the same example, Brinker finds out that he pushed him off, and Gene replies with “Don’t be nutty, Brinker” (Knowles 44). This quote is one example in which Gene lies to others to try and hide what he did . By this point in the novel, Gene’s innocence is starting to fade away, so he just does not want people to understand his intentions by doing this.…

This song strongly reminds me of Zach becasue he was always the master at pranks and finding ways to embarrass (bully) other students. The tone of the melody fits perfectly with Zach's personality becasue he is always thinking of a way to bully or pick on someone. According to pg. 14, the text states, "I did a quick scan to confirm there were no teachers looking on.... I reached up and snached a letter off.…
