Monologue For A Sleeping Room

Narrator: The name Alex echos across the hallway they are walking through. They head down a small stairway into a damp hallway that leads down with two doors. They go down the long hallway, Alex suddenly stops. Bria stops and stares at her till Alex stops and points towards a door that is partially open. Alex says one thing then runs past bria and disappears behind the staircase.

Alex: Daddy.

Narrator: Bria opens the door and sees a man sitting in a chair. The light is dim so his features of unnoticable.

Mr.Krono: You must be Bria Katly. My new nanny.

Narrator: His voice is thick with a british accent.

Mr.Krono: I take it you know my requirements.

Bria: Yes Mr.Krono

Mr.Krono: Please call me Randis.

Bria: Yes Randis I do know the requirements.

Randis: Her favorite is a French Poem called “Dodo, l’enfant do” it means Sleepy time, The young one sleeps. You will find the poem in your room on your nightstand. Alex will show you the way.

Narrator: Alex appears right next to Bria and grabs her hand and starts to drag her out of the room and down the hallway. Once upstairs Alex brings her up another big flight of stairs and down another hallway. Once in the hallway she brings her to a set of doors and opens them to show a huge room with a king size bed with pink bed spreads. The room is decorated in different shades of pinks with stuff animals scattered all over the bed. The floor is hardwood with fuzzy pink rugs all over the room laying in various places.

Alex: This is my room. I like pink. I bathe every night. My bed time is around 9 and I would like a lullaby to fall asleep. If you forget to give me a lullaby I will destroy you in your sleep.

Narrator: Bria seemed shocked at first about being destroyed in her sleep. In her mind kids will be kids and they try to be threatening so she noted to let her feel like that and will give a lullaby every night

Bria: I will remember that. Do you have any other
