Monologue Between Romeo And Juliet

Improved Essays
For anyone who dared question my life choices, I may seem as though I had half-assed my marriage with Juliet, but that’s probably the one thing I don’t regret. I know we rushed too quickly into it, but I loved her and she loved me back dearly. The only thing I truly regret is killing Tybalt. I just lost control over the fact that he killed Mercutio right in front of my eyes. If I hadn’t killed Tybalt, my future would have been different. I could’ve prevented so many events that shouldn’t have happened.
For one, I would’ve been able to stay with my precious Juliet, if I hadn’t been exclie. We would’ve had more time to spend with each other as well. The thought of allowing Paris to marry Juliet wouldn’t have crossed Lord Capulet’s mind, because

This line said in Juliet's monologue could be interpreted as "Oh, Romeo, Romeo, where is Romeo?" by directly summarizing, but in context in the play, which becomes apparent with analyzing and synthesizing, it's translated to "Oh, Romeo, Romeo, why do you have to be Romeo?" This also evidently proves how the Shakespeare sharpens many skills used by high schoolers on a daily basis, based on how most lines will require them to use and practice these skills when reading the…

A father, Capulet, who seems to want the best for his daughter may not be exactly who we have learned to think he is. The deaths of Mercutio, Tybalt, Paris, Romeo, Juliet, and Lady Capulet written in the play Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare were the effect of Capulet’s bad decisions. Long lasting feuds, one sided decisions, and unfatherly threats were all important factors in the way that Capulet indirectly ended many precious lives. First, if Capulet would have ended the feud with the montagues, Romeo and Juliet wouldn’t have had to keep their marriage a secret.…

As Chance secured the buggy, he watched Kat spread a blanket on the ground. She sat down, pressing her blue calico dress next to her ankles. Perhaps the mild April air reminded him of home, but somehow her simple action took him a lifetime away, to another woman, to another time, to memories he’d always hold dear to his heart. Thoughts of his own wife made him wonder how Jake had ever let Kat get away.…

There are many people you could blame for the tragedy of Romeo and Juliet, but one might also say the two households are responsible for the tragedy of Romeo and Juliet. An example of how the capulets play a part in this is when lady capulet says “Marry that ‘marry’ is the very theme I came to talk of. Tell me, daughter Juliet, how stands your disposition to get married”(Line fourteen, Act one Scene three, and Document B), the person one would blame in this quote would be the families(Capulet). This shows Lady Capulet is trying to pressure Juliet into getting married. Even after juliet says that she does not want to get married, her mother keeps pushing her into getting married by asking if she can “like of Paris’ love”( Line twenty four, Act…

It’s not in the story to hold our destiny but in ourselves.-William Shakespeare’s Because of people’s decision and different point of view, the people most responsible for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet are Lady Capulet, Capulets and the Montague’s, and Friar Lawrence. For starters Lady Capulet wasn’t a crowned mom at all. A major thing about her was that she had a different perspective of love.…

My Lord, My God, why have you left me to suffer here by myself? All is indeed lost and no sense of redemption can be found. Tybalt is in his grave dead to this day, no trace of recovery can be found by the doctors or the wisest men of the land. This is severely devastating and heartbreaking; words cannot describe what I’m currently going through. Tybalt was a great man, he was the man of the people, he nurtured and took care of me from my infant ages to my maturity stage, I even dare to say that he was the greatest teacher that I have ever had a dialogue within the whole of Verona, even greater than the late Hieronymus Fracastorius.…

This shows that Romeo’s impulsive decisions, like murdering Tybalt and becoming an exile, will cause future drastic events that will lead to Romeo’s and Juliet’s deaths. Both Romeo and Juliet are not completely heedful of the consequences of their actions. They hold the ultimate or last say in their decisions, but they choose the wrong decisions. However, the events leading to Romeo’s and Juliet’s deaths are possibly avertible if the Montague and Capulet families did not…

However, you can not ignore the fact that the poor outcomes were direct results of poor decisions; through poor communication and bad ideas, from both Romeo and Juliet, along with Pyramus and Thisbe. The struggles that the characters faced were no ones fault but their own. “Evermore weeping for your cousin’s death,” (Shakespeare, 441). Lady Capulet says this because it is her belief that Juliet is crying for the reason of Tybalt’s death, but in reality her tears are for her love, Romeo. She was dishonest and lied to her parents about what was happening in her life.…

Romeo; “This day’s black fate on moe days doth depend; This but begins the woe, others must end.” (Tybalt is killed in Act 3, Scene 1.) Romeo should not have been holding back Mercutio for it was the wrong place at the wrong time. Romeo and Juliet were moving into things way too fast. They should have took things slower and maybe tried to talk to their families about trying to be together and maybe try and resolve the family situation.…

The decision that I found to be particularly hasty was Romeo's decision to commit suicide. I believe that this decision was impulsive and fueled by Romeo's emotions. It lead to not only his death but his lover Juliet as well. If Romeo had been more thoughtful instead of letting his grief and desperate thoughts overwhelm him, he could of created a different ending for the play, one not as tragic. Before Romeo made such a decision, he had been waiting for Friar Lawrence in Mantua to send him news of the uplifting sorts when Balthazar had told him that Juliet had died.…

In Conclusion, I think that Romeo is a young, inexperienced and impatient but loyal and brave boy. I think that his naivety plays a huge rule in this because love was taken as an extravagant feeling to have when it was not truly happy as the lovers can experience heartbreak and many other obstacles. It seems as if Romeo only more cautious and deliberate, his devastating ending could have been prevented (even though we have not finished the book yet). Amongst friends especially Mercutio, Romeo shows signs of his social and quick witted persona, even with his fond of verbal jousting that is mainly about sex. Lastly, Romeo is like every other male in the world who only unveils their true self to the people who they trust or who understand them.…

If he had stood up for himself around his friends and told them that he would not go, none of the tragic endings would have happened. Later on, Romeo let his desire for revenge get the better of him and killed Tybalt, despite him saying earlier “And so, good Capulet-which name I tender As dearly as my own-be satisfied. ”(3,1,65).…
