Times may be getting more modern and traditional relationships are becoming, well, traditional for many, but monogamous relationships still work for a lot of people out there. Plus, despite the variety and the excitement it brings, sticking with that someone, solely, brings a different kind of romantic vibe. Here are 9 reasons why monogamous relationship is great:

You want to look great, smell amazing, and you even act in pretense because you’re trying to build this incredible image. But the pressure to be perfect drops when you’ve been with someone for a long time. Of course, you still take care of yourself, hygiene matters and stuff, but the standards when it comes to maintaining a great physical appearance lowers when you’re already comfortable with someone.
5. Open relationship aren’t for everyone
Open relationships can still work, but there may be a few who can make them work. Unfortunately, jealousy is human nature and that’s something that’s tough to give up. As human beings, people still find comfort in the security that an exclusive bonding provides. One belongs to another, that’s the simple way of looking at relationships, and it’s quite hard to accept that she can belong to someone else simultaneously.

As mentioned, monogamy constitutes to great ideas such as loyalty, trust, and fidelity. Of course, these won’t be achieved without love and devotion. All these things are pretty notions that you and your partner are bringing into life by choosing to be with each other exclusively. Monogamy doesn’t carry a great weight because the government and the church have documents; it has a meaning because you and your partner mutually choose to commit to each other. And that sense of faithfulness despite the temptations is pure and good.
Both monogamy and non-monogamy relationships have pros and cons, but we’re just focusing on the positive sides of a stick-to-one relationship
