People change all the time throughout life. They changed because of the lessons of life that make you do things differently. Sometimes it makes you change in a good way or a bad way, but that's not something uncommon is just we may not notice it at the time. One way that I've changed in my high school years, is that in the beginning my first three years of high school, I took it for granted. And now that I want to go to a good college it backfires me at times, so I changed my ways for my senior year to get good grades and hopefully make honor roll my last four quarters. The characters fit the image of virtuous, chivalrous and depart the conventional image.

A quote from the passage is " "in order to win her love, he participated jousts and tournaments, organized and gave feasts, and spent his money without restraint" ( Giovanni Boccaccio, 209). Federigo did not care about what he had to give up as long as she was happy nothing else mattered to him. He eventually became poor and lived on a farm, & Giovanna came over to ask for his beloved falcon for her son, but he had killed it for her to eat. Another quote is " I should honor you... with a more precious food than that which are usually served to other people; there for remembering the Falcon that you requested and its values, I just ate food worthy of you" ( Giovanni Boccaccio, 212). Even though the Falcon was the only thing valuable left in Federigo's life, he still sacrificed it so that Giovanna could have a worthy meal. There are very few men who would sacrifice their only valuable thing left in their life. Acts like this is will make him and gentlemen because he didn't do it for himself he did it for her, all he wanted was to satisfy her needs even if that meant losing everything had. Throughout the story he was not worried about himself he just wanted her to notice him and love him no matter what he needed to sacrifice in his life. Giovanna also departs from the conventional

In the letter he wrote, “I can’t believe they’d try and buy me a car”(21). This shows that he felt offended that they tried to buy him something, however, his parents just wanted to give him a gift for the sake of making him smile. The fact that he felt disgruntled by the cause of people who had good intentions shows he was only thinking of himself and not taking into consideration how other people would’ve felt in this situation. Another quotation from the book states that he “ insisted on giving Gallien his watch, his comb, and what he said was all his money”(6). Some people would view this as selfless, but it is far from that.…
