In a mystery and suspenseful way, it sounds like supernatural events waiting to happen . That’s exactly what “The Monkey’s Paw” is all about; magical charm, supernatural events, and suspense. These are characteristics stated in the horror genre. According to the characteristics of the horror genre and the style of Jacob’s writing, “The Monkey’s Paw” is scarier than the other two stories because it involves supernatural events, contains suspense, and the use of sinister imagery.
