In summary, the monkey's paw is about fate and wishes. The setting takes place in the White's home in England during the manufacturing ages. Mr. and Ms. White and their son Herbert were at home playing chess and knitting and a warm fire. Sergeant Morris was there to and he told them about the monkeys paw and how they can grant three wishes. So Mr. White wished for 200 pounds. Herbert leaves for work and end up dying later. Mr. White wish came true the next day. When Mrs. White remembered about the paw in the middle of the night she entreat Mr. White to wish for Hebert alive again.

In the book it ended with Father killing Herbert again. Unlike in the film it ended with all of them dead Father, Mother lying on Herbert’s grave. However
