Sometimes you just hop straight into bed and you think, stuff it, I'm too tired to meditate. Also, I am too sad to sit by myself right now. Often we have problems and worries that bubble under the surface. During the day the worries are ignored and we are distracted by life's minutiae When we rest was are often surprised by feelings of sadness or dissatisfaction. When meditating these thoughts can be uncomfortable but what i have come to know that it is good to face your fears. i find it beneficial to sit through the unease because often there are equal pleasantness in a meditation session. i find the best meditation to do when you are already in bed and too tired a mini zen meditation. Simply close your eyes and breathe in, breathe out and count one in your head. Repeat and count the outbreath until you count to ten on every outbreath. You can stop at ten or you start again at the count of one. I find this meditation relaxes me, just like counting sheep before sleeping. It makes my breaths deeper and calms my mind in preparation for sleep. this isn't about fixing the past, its about letting go

A person’s mindset can be described as their attitude and the way that person views the world and life. In comparison, “Seeing by Annie Dillard”, shows how vision can either cloud or open the mindset of the bigger picture. However, “This is Water” by Foster Wallace, shows that focusing on oneself and neglecting others, can lead to a repetitive negative mindset of the world.
