Monitor Employees Social Media

Decent Essays
a) I think that employers should monitor their employees’ social media accounts whenever big changes or events occur. Some of the changes or events that should be monitored are new policies, layoffs, restructuring, or rude customers. Another reason that an employer should monitor social media is if they see an employee with their phone out frequently at work because they could easily be using it to take photos or videos of the customers and posting them with rude messages online.

My opinion will always stand that we cannot allow employers to be able to monitor our social media. Employees should be judged for the amount of work they are able to do, not what kind of lifestyle they choose to have. if employers screen employees by social media everyone would lose, they have to see who is the best qualified duty position and not what profile picture they have on…

By creating these relationships with different people from different backgrounds, the book explains “your being able to draw on a variety of diversity skills “. In addition to the information on networking I found the section Stepping Outside Of Ourselves was very interesting also.
