Monique realizes that she doesn’t hit my target every day. Monique did become aware that she eats pretty much of the same thing all the time, not much variety, therefore not getting my nutrients. Monique seems to concentrate on getting enough protein and trying to actually maintain weight. Monique does this by not using a food as a sources but using things such as protein/whey powders and shakes. Monique tried a few new things like almond milk. This is an excellent protein source better than my powders .Monique needs to look more at my numbers as far as protein and carbohydrates. Also, don't add salt to foods, but Monique tends to get things that are high in sodium because of not doing fresh cooking. That shows it would benefit to cook more …show more content…
In regards to the rate your diet quiz, to improve the score was to eat breakfast and cut sugary drinks. Monique is still working on having a good breakfast preferably oatmeal and some fruit. However, the morning starts out with a smoothie with almond milk or yogurt, fruits, flax seed and oats. Hopefully, gradually adding some vegetables to get more nutrients and speed up the metabolism. However, increasing strength exercises provided by a doctor has helped in getting closer to be able to do aerobic exercise and increase fitness levels. Monique is still working on achieving not drinking her calories. Monique has incorporated a women’s multivitamin gummy. Her mother recently was diagnosed with low vitamin D and has three aunts who also are in the same situation; not liking vitamins the gummies seems to make it more tolerable than tablets. Monique has recently started working on portion control using these containers that are color coded that represent the nutrients you need; for example, the red one for protein, green for vegetables. Monique has started tracking, but not consistently, stated with a journal then using phone, not sure which preference really is better. Something that has changed is that Monique is starting to go to foods that are gluten free. It is too early yet to see if there is any difference yet in the body, assuming that there is no wheat allergy. Learning behavior medication is an
