Monika Saigal's Nutrition For Dancer

Improved Essays
Monika Saigal is the owner of Ms Nutrition. As you may remember, I used to be a dancer and I am very interested in nutrition for dancers. Monika wrote a nutrition article on Facebook for a dance magazine that I follow. I looked her up and found she has a nutrition business which is based out of New York, New York. I emailed her and she kindly replied back to me. Monika began her company in 2007 as a part-time business while she had full-time work as a dietitian. Eventually, in 2013 her business had grown enough for her to work full-time.
As with any registered dietitian (RD), Monika’s target population ranges from people who are health conscious, athletes, “artistic performers” (including but not limited to dancers) looking to gain or lose

If I were to be asked eight weeks ago if I was a healthy person, my answer would be a resounding, “Yes;” my regular physicals and blood work confirming my response. And while I still believe that to be true, what an eye opener the Diet Analysis project was, as far as understanding my actual nutritional intake in comparison to the Dietary Reference Intake (DRI) of nutrients recommended for optimal health and well-being.
