D: The vision, mission and purpose of MLA is to serve an individualized education for all students to prepare them for global 21st century learning.
E: Our mission statement reads that we have a community of learners dedicated to student success and we are preparing them with skills necessary to be productive citizens. It would be wonderful if we had the programs and courses to make this possible.
F: It would be great to have move vocational courses and really focus on job skills.

A: Attendance, students that consistently miss 2 to 3 days a week and come back to the classroom and persistently impede the learning of others. It also creates an atmosphere that prevents any type of collaborative group work from being accomplished. The 10 day attendance policy is highly effective.
B: Because of the testing we must do, we don’t have the flexibility to change the curriculum we teach, and we end up wasting the semester trying to teach skills to students who have never mastered the prerequisite skills. If a student has a third grade reading level, how can it possibly benefit that student to be placed in a high school English class? We seem more focused on where he/she should be instead of where that student actually is as far as proficiency.
A: We often don’t know what particular weaknesses students have, nor do we have the necessary training to effectively target those weaknesses. If a student has a problem reading, it quickly becomes obvious to us, but we usually don’t know the exact nature of the problem, nor how to adapt our instruction for that
