How barbaric were the Barbarians?

The mongols were a small tribe from the grassland or the Steppes of Asia. Temuchin was a little boy who lived in the Mongolian tribe, and his father was the leader. Later, Temujin’s father was poisoned by an enemy, killing him within a few days. When Temuchin became older, he was named the leader of the Mongol tribe. They then became a very powerful group, because of their leader, Genghis Khan, or Temuchin. Him and his tribe travelled by horse across Asia, and conquered much of the land, killing many other neighboring tribes. When Temuchin was a boy, his father was poisoned by one of the Mongol enemies. His father later died from the poison, leaving them with no leader. When Temuchin became older, he was named ruler, and wanted to get revenge on the tribe that killed his father. After he attacked the tribe and left them in the dust, he wanted to conquer all of the land, and destroy every tribe that was near them, making their tribe and army very violent. Secondly, the Mongols would be very violent towards the cities they captured. The Mongols would burn everything in the city, from houses to food, leaving nothing usable. They would slain dog and cats, and were very brutal to the city. The Mongols would kill everyone, taking over the whole entire town.
