An unannounced follow-up and monitoring inspection was conducted on 1/26/2016. I arrived at the operation which is located at 201 E. Main St. New Boston about 6:50 am. I was greeted by Sandy Lewis the assistant director. I explained the purpose of my inspection and reviewed the subchapters I would be observing. Sandy called Moneta Shavers the director and she arrived approximately 45 minutes later.
I prepared for the inspection by reviewing frequency of inspections made, observing the operations compliance history, the operations fee history, background check list and controlling person list.
Director present: yes
Director qualifications: Moneta Shavers qualifies under 746.1015(a)(6); I evaluated at inspection, as certificate from CCWWI expires …show more content…
The following was observed:
Ratios: Ratios were checked. Sandy Lewis was caring for 17 children upon arrivial to operation that were 14m, 17m, 17m, 2 y/o, 3 y/o, 3 y/o, 3 y/o, 5 y/o, 5 y/o, 6 y/o, 7 y/o, 7 y/o, 9 y/o, 10 y/o and 11 y/o. Sandy called Moneta Shavers at home to let her know. Sarah Obenoskey arrived at the center approximately 20 minutes later. Sandy then took the 14 m, 17m and 17m in addition to Sarah's 6 m old daughter to the infant room and Sarah cared for the additional children. Shortly after Sarah arrived the New Boston ISD bus came to pick the school age children up. Sarah then was left with 4 children that were 2-3 years
