This quote shows the important of how much biology has on our lives. Understanding biology unlocks tons of information about our lives and the world around us. Biology is in everything we do. We don't notice it but it's a very big part of our life. It gives us a better understanding in our life and to see how beautiful this world is. Biology is always in shows and movies that we watch. It has a big affect in a global aspect. With the creation of GMOs they have caused a big environmental impact. They have caused toxics to target bees, butterflies, and etc. With this happening it is causing bees and butterflies to die and if bees die they can't be there to make pollination on our many food crops. GMOs were met to help but are slowly killing other important things that we need. " Toxic residues are left in the soil of GM crops. Nutrients are not returned to the soil in mono crops and from GMO foods, meaning that soil is becoming dry and void of all nutrients, generally integral to the growing process" (The environmental impact) . This makes our food not as healthy as they can be for us and putting our bodies in harm. We are destroying more then what we are suppose to be making better. Us as a nation are already using GMOs to much in our foods today. "In the U.S., GMOs are in as much as 80% of conventional processed food" (Non GMO project). Most countries known that GMOs are not safe to be using but the US still used them anyways. We are now thinking about not using them but is it already too late to try and fix the problem?. It goes without saying that we live in an inter-connected world, where the way we interact with nature can cause a complex array of consequences. Being informed on the food we are consuming, and the way modern agricultural techniques are affecting the environment, is one effective way of consciously interacting with the natural world." (The environmental impact). It's like GMOs is a hole in a shirt and we are slowly ripping that hole and making it bigger as times goes by. Many Implications for genetically modified organisms come socially and ethical are the health of our bodies and the rights we have. Eating too much can cause future damage and our bodies will not get the right nutrient it needs to function at its greatest level. It has a effect on farmers by GMOs becoming a threat. As a result, the companies that make GMOs now have the power to sue farmers whose fields are contaminant with GMOs" ( Non GMO Project). This is basically taking their rights or sovereignty.
