Saying by to Momma Skitles and Daddy Spree, I walked into my new sanitized room. After looking around, I decided to take the bottom of the bunk bed in the far corner. “Better to have one close to the ground and near the closet.” I started making my bed when I got another sudden hunger pang. I doubled over as the intensity of my hunger overtook me. I reached, with trembling hands, into the extra suitcase. Withdrawing a book, I took out my favorite straw. I quickly ripped into the book, not worrying about the ink that spilled from my lips or the idea of one of my roommates walking in and seeing me. When I finished draining the book of all the appetizing ink, I threw the book back into the suitcase and wiped the dripping ink from my mouth. I turned around just in time to see another boy walk into the room. I quickly kicked my traveling food sack under the bed. He introduced himself as Spriet. I told him my …show more content…
We were walking when my arm started to tingle. There must be books! A lot of them too! I thought as we walked by huge double doors. I asked what was behind those doors. Choclaet told me it was the library. As we walked back to my room, I tried to memorize the trek I would take to get to my latest food source.
The next morning, after succumbing to the quenching hunger that had built during the night, I made my way to the first classroom on the schedule. When we had looked at our schedule, Spriet and I saw that we both had the same schedule.
Was it one purpose, I thought as I walked to math. Math turned to reading, reading turned to science, and science turned to history. History finally gave away to my favorite subject; Technology. As it being our first day, we just went over our safety rules.
Back in my dorm, we started talking about how we had found out about our condition. Spriet told me that he had found out that he had Shingles when he was
