Mom Bowles Daughter

Everyone at some point of their lives have been referred to as, oh you’re so and so’s daughter or oh you’re so and so’s sister? At these points, you begin to feel more so attached to someone instead of being your own individual. Being a teacher’s daughter and being a younger sibling has caused these problems to occur, plenty of times. To begin, growing up with a teacher as a mom people are constantly asking, “Are you Patti Bowles daughter,” or “Is your mom a teacher.” I love my mom to death don’t get me wrong it’s just these questions have become so common. Another instance of this is people asking, “How is your mom doing,” before they even ask about me. I know that sounds a little conceited but she comes up in more of my conversations …show more content…

It honestly feels like you don’t have a name any more you’re just a relation to somebody. The problem with being attached to someone is that it doesn’t allow me to have a name for myself. I don’t necessarily hate my name or want to change it, I just wish people wouldn’t always associate me to somebody else. Being a younger sister to, two older brothers hasn’t helped with trying to be an individual in this world. Going through school, it never failed that all three of us would have the same teachers. At the beginning of a new school year, all of my teachers would ask, “Have I had any of your siblings in my class before?” In my head, I would always think, oh great, here we go again, let the association game begin. I always answered politely with, “Yes, Greg and Jeremy Bowles.” Then for about 5 minutes we would have a conversation about their lives and what they are doing, and how they are doing. As you would imagine this got really old, really quick. Having a brother, who owns a business in the same town as the one you live in and

Unlikely duos are a common find in fictional media. While it can’t be said that George Milton and Lennie Small, from John Steinbeck’s novel Of Mice and Men, were the first, it can be assumed that the conflicts faced between them inspired many modern works. Steinbeck portrays George and Lennie as having a sibling-like relationship. Through this, George realizes that Lennie’s existence is holding him back, and only putting Lennie even further in harm’s way. This leads us to the theme that sometimes, in order to protect the ones you love, you have to do things that will harm them.…

“Shes coming back right?” a baffled 7 year old asks in response to the appalling news of her mother’s death. A vibrant imagination is accompanied by a crushing pain of reality that trails behind it ; I discovered this when I heard the words “no” . 10 years later, that conversation lingers in my head and holds not a cacophonous nor euphonious sound, but instead holds the neutral tone of reality, an alarm . In today’s modern society, you can learn quite a bit about someone simply through observation. The manner in which their interactions and behavior are demonstrated can reveal contextual explanations about their experiences and the way they live their lives. These particular explanations directly support public ideas, which cover the basis of environmental influence in a person’s life, some of which may include where an individual went to college, were they grew up as a child, and what kind of people they surrounded themselves with.
