The Cold War was a state of political and military tension after World War II between powers in the United States and its NATO allies and powers in the Soviet Union with its allies in the Warsaw Pact. There have been several events that have had significance on the United States during World War II that has changed the lives of Americans today. Few of the events include the Nagasaki A Bomb that took place in the 1940’s, the conspiracy theorists Julius and Ethel Rosenburg in the 1950’s, the issue of Molotov in the 1960’s, the Iran hostage crisis in the 1970’s and lastly the solidarity Union in Poland in the 1980’s.
