Molecules are a group of atoms bonded together, representing the smallest fundamental unit of a chemical compound that can take part in a chemical reaction. Molecules are three-dimensional entities and therefore should be depicted in three dimensions. My group decided on the claim that as electrons are bonded to a central atom, the greater the electron repulsion, causing an increase in the bond angles. Bond angles are the angles that are formed between two adjacent bonds on the same central atom. We analyzed the information that we discovered on the website that was given to us in the lab.
