When the world was new and the power of the world roamed free there was a feared fire spirit named Hui Li that walked across China. He wore tore robes of red and grey that fluttered and crackled from the heat of his withered old body. Day and night he walked burning and slaughtering all that stood before him, his flock of feared fiery birds fueled him forth with the Qi they provided. The villages were tired of running from Hui Li and decided they have to stop him. So the four leaders, Shing Rui, Moi Nache, Hanzo Zishu, and Lui Kung meet at the corner of their territories to devise a plan. The fierce village of the north proposed they fight. But the other villages deemed it suicidal and argued the night away unaware the north village had gone …show more content…
A smile crept on to the spirits face so wide the soldiers could even see it at a distance. The first of the soldiers charged upon their horse. The birds dived at their horses sending them into a frenzy throwing them from their owners. Hui Li notched his mighty bow and began firing turning soldiers to ash and bone. When they thought they had over whelmed him he drew flail of obsidian and steel. He bashed and whipped his way through the army as if they were paper. The heat from his body driving the men away. The great leader of the north, Moi Nache tried to run but the flail caught his ankle bringing him to his knees. What was left of the army returned to the other villagers broken and battered losing more then half of their numbers. "He butchered us," whimpered one of the soldiers returning to the camp. Many of them were burnt and bore the marks of Hui Li's flail. "You fools!" yelled Shing Rui at the returning soldiers. "You have lead Hui Li right to us," with that he pointed a shaking finger towards the mountains the soldiers had returned from to see a fiery figure standing at the peak surrounded by his soulless birds. "I demand to see Moi Nache," he screamed his voice breaking. "Dead," said another passing soldier in a deadpan voice before trudging on. And with that a volley of arrows flew down from the heaven towards Hui Li. The old fire spirit threw open his robes and out streamed the flock of fiery birds, which Hanzo Zishu had forgotten in his anger. They meet the arrows mid air and burned right through them. All while that happened Hui Li had already draw his bow and in one swift movement fired a arrow into Hanzo Zishu's neck. The archers ran terrified while the birds pecked and Hui Li fired arrow after arrow into their backs. When the soldiers returned they were shocked to see that the two remaining leaders had not looks of sorrow and fear but of confidence and hope. Lui Kung had a mighty chain draped around him, Shing Rui stood beside him beaming at what could end Hui Li's reign of terror. Before them stood a wind spirit, it's body a whirlwind of dust, leaves and shiny trinkets swirling in the form of a man. Not nearly as strong as Hui Li but strong enough for what they needed it to do. Lui Kung handed him the chain and then handed him a extravagant Faberge egg that had tempted the spirit in the first place. The soldiers returning were baffled and asked many questions but were told all would be answered the next morning. In the morning the remain villagers woke up to the wind spirit receiving the chain from Lui Kung. The egg from earlier spun around the center of its body as the spirit admired it while for the orders of Lui Kung. The chain was placed in a loop across the trail its end
