Great post and layout for module five, it is well written and very easy to follow. I agree with your plan of care for the 84-year-old male the patient should be oriented to his room. I would like to add that the nurse should encourage the patient's daughter to orientate the patient to all of the surrounding that he will encounter in her home. The should also include that she should do this as many times as the patient needs so he will feel safe in his new environment. Having the patient know his surrounds can help prevent him from falling. As you stated in your post, the use of throw or scattered rugs along with extension cords should be avoided. If they are necessary, the rugs should have a non-skid backing, and all cords should be taped
