The module on Ethics and Leadership Development which was a core and a very important one which had great potentials to impart from its syllabus really boosted me claiming myself confidently that I am a leader now. The learnings from each angles and forms had given me greater meaning than just learning. The learnings from this particular module made me self-confident in doing whatever I face to produce myself as leader. To me in simple term I have felt that a leader is none other than an ordinary human being who can influence and convince to achieve certain goals. A leader can give the same level of satisfaction that he/she gets in whatever he does. It is untrue to say that he/she is a leader if one can just influence and listen to him. I don’t deny that there are many personal traits and other forms of qualities where a leader had been defined. Different leaders have different attributes where the followers believe in. A leader should have good social network and the people in the network influences the most. My definition of a leader was very vague however, by now I have come to know the greater meaning of a leader once I have listened to many presentations and by reading many materials. When I realize the definition of a leader I felt I have the quality of a leader by now. Just to share one incidence I have coordinated a badminton match for MBA students in the indoor at one point of time. The tournament went very well. We had great time by coming together. The togetherness was fully made with the presence of all those who participated as well who came for watching the match. I was amused actually but haven’t felt I have played the role of leader. They have followed me. This is one simple reflection and realization of mine where I have acted and played the role of a …show more content…
Apart from the syllabus most of the presenters bring different but relevant examples in the class which really was a fascinating learning that took place. Once I play the role of a leader the immediate and one for sure I will do is to listen first. As I have gained many insights from hearing stories I also would prefer and would like to ask my friends and colleagues to share their stories. On my own part I would disseminate the information not directly but in the form of interesting structure like a story where one would motivate and listen carefully to fulfil both our wishes. If one is happy the values, ethics, rules and regulations shall be automatically respected and followed. The whole attitudes towards working only will be changed. Human beings are the basic instrument for happening everything. They think and interact, imagine and plan, shares and decides. Organisation is made of human beings. Therefore, the basis of human understanding must be

Leadership is defined as being a leader of an organization or a group of individuals. To me a leader is someone who will give their all to accommodate someone in obligation of assistance. A leader doesn’t give up on hard task and pushes to be an example for their peers. I have demonstrated my leadership in and out of school by being a responsible, honest and hardworking individual, who expresses empathy to help those who didn’t think they could achieve a goal on their own. While in high school I have been in multiple extracurricular activities such as Drill Team, FBLA, FCCLA, Student Council, Class Treasurer, NHS and Yearbook.…

Milk: The Definition of a Dignitary Used lightly in today’s society, the word “leader” is commonly used to refer to a person who comes out and directs a group to take action in some way, shape, or form. The main idea of the book I choose the book “Act like a leader, think like a leader, by Herminia Ibarra, which is inspirational read for everyone who has a passion for leading. Ibarra, redefines the traditional leadership notion of “think first, and then act’’ by acting first and then thinking. She described The “Outsight Principle” which is the mine idea of this book. Through the implementation of the “outsight principle”, Ibarra believes that one can improve or develop into an effective leader. This principle attests that the only way to think like a leader is to first act it out and that is to come out of ones’ comfort zone by start doing changes and more experiences.…

I also see a leader as someone who is as someone who can change plans quickly, is the situation calls for it. Life does not always go as planned, so a good leader should be to shift gears and have another plan. For a leader to be effective, they must be in touch with reality. Introduction As I reflect on this course and the results of the Questionnaires, Reflection, and Action Worksheets I have learned many aspects of leadership. I have analyzed the definition of leadership and now have a clearer understanding of it. According to, Introduction to Leadership; concepts and practice, by Peter Northouse (2015), leadership can be composed of many variables such as relationship, trait, ability, skill, behavior, and influence process. He also elaborates on how the “leadership of an individual can be used to influence a group to accomplish a common goal”. In addition, he discusses how leadership is not the same as management (Northouse, 2015, pp. 3-7).…
