This type of dancing causes the listener to lash out against authority, and feel empowered through the sound of the music. This mystery song is definitely one you would slam dance or mosh to. I felt the artist doesn’t deserve the way he is being treated, and I hope he can find the answer he is looking for. After reading the textbook, the modules, and listening to the blues, there is definitely a different sound to each artist, time period and type of blues. Nikolas Valinsky and Matthew Chanlynn played the trumpet, Emelie Pfaff played the horn, William Gamache played the trombone, and Heather Ewer played the tuba. The melody was more complex because this piece of music would constantly shift between what instrument was holding the melody. However, the tuba held the melody majority of the time. Most of the time, the tuba acted as the base throughout the piece.…

In the movie, Begin Again, the soundtrack plays a significant role in telling the story and reuniting the characters with their loved ones. With minimal prominence, the director uses the soundtrack to add elements found in musicals due to the fact that the songs play along with the theme as the characters develop. Greta and Dan are both similar when it comes to loneliness, rejection, and the question of where the loyalties of their loved ones lie. Both characters display mistrust, distance, and are ominous until they meet and collaborate with one another. The music they create transforms from self-expression to optimism because they strive to achieve a common goal, which is to get their album produced in their own style and on their own terms.…

With a constant static being heard it makes it hard for a 21st century listener to enjoy the music. Tuning out the static of the recording becomes another aspect of listening for music of this time and makes it somewhat of a hassle.…
