Have you ever heard of people having heros well if so this is my hero. I am doing my mother as my hero. She has done more than most people have. This is my modern day hero. Next i am doing my Ancient Greek hero perseus. I am doing him because he remembers me of my mother.
Here are some similarities for these two heros. My mother is not scared of a lot of things. Perseus stopped bad people from hurting other innocent people. My mother still does many things for me even though she hurts really bad. Perseus and my mother have this in common when it comes to family or other people she cares about she will not care about the danger as long as i or that person is safe.
Even though heros have similarities they also have to have differences. Perseus

She is really mentally strong because she is really smart and in order to be mentally strong you have to have a strong mind. I say she is really smart because she helps me with a lot of problems like homework or school trouble. Another reason she is mentally strong because when she hurts and wants to cry she dont show she holds it in so she doesn't have to cry in front of me or my siblings. My mother may not show it but she is one of the smartest people i know.
You may be wondering why I picked my mother. I picked her because she has helped more than any other person has on this earth she has put food on the table for me and my siblings or would go and help out family members with struggles or even helped the homeless out. She may not be a hero in your eyes but she is in mine because she is my mother and I only have one of those on this earth i can never replace and i wouldn’t want to even if I had the chance.
Although these two modern and old heros have differences and similarities they pass as heros in my mind.my opinion about heroism is true to me because these people we call hero do unbeleivable things that some people won’t do anf these bad people do horrible things or don’t do stuff to help out the community or our country become a better

According to the Oxford English Dictionary, a hero is defined as “a person who is admired for their courage, outstanding achievements, or noble qualities”. However, this definition is only a general statement of what qualifies someone to be a hero. The meaning of words can change over time which means that what defines a “hero” today may be different than what a “hero” was defined as in ancient times. This means that although it is the same word, it has the possibility of holding different meanings. How has the definition of the word “hero” changed over time and in what ways has it stayed the same?…

There are many heroes in today’s society. Every person can have a different definition of what defines someone as a hero or something as heroic. Grant Wiggins, a local school teacher in A Lesson Before Dying and Jefferson’s friend, has his own definition of what it means to be a hero. It is arguable that there are two predominant heroic characters in the The Crucible, a drama written by Arthur Miller, and in A Lesson Before Dying, a historical fiction written by Ernest J. Gaines, John Proctor and Jefferson. John Proctor is the protagonist in The Crucible whose town is afflicted by the witch trials in 1692, and Jefferson is a main character in A Lesson Before Dying who is a black man on death row in the 1940s south.…

I chose the greek heroes Theseus and Atalanta to compare with thor and the black widow. I chose theseus and atalanta because they show similar morals and values as captain america and the black widow. In greek mythology theseus was a hero and looked up to because not only because he was strong and courageous but he was also intelligent and wise. Atalanta was seen as a hero in greek mythology because despite her being a female she was still an incredible athlete and when it came to hunting and athletic achievement she was equal to the men. Captain america is seen as a modern day hero for his not only because he was intelligent and wise but also seen as a hero because of his courageousness and selflessness.…
