The profession we chose is the study of Anesthesiology. An anesthesiologist is a Physician who administer anesthetics prior to, during, or after surgery or other medical procedures. They have to go through 12 years of school to get their (M.D) (D.O.). Known colleges that offer the program are New York University, University of Pennsylvania, University of Michigan, University of North Carolina, Ohio State University, University of California.
On the job they have to Monitor the patient before, during, and after anesthesia and counteract adverse reactions or complications. Also they have to Monitor patient conditions during treatments, procedures, or activities. An anesthesiologist has to be a very observational worker if they give too much or too little they could have very bad situations on their hands either way. They have to be very skilled at what they do. That is why their paycheck is anywhere from $352,518 to $450,000 as they get more experienced. …show more content…
Morton (1819-1868). A young Boston Dentist, Dr. Morton had been in the search for a better agent than what had been used by many dentists nitrous oxide.
